Tex-Mex Green Beans | Commercial Dehydrators

In a variation on crispy green beans, south-of-the-border flavors are added for a spicy and savory snack. You can increase or decrease the various spices to suit your taste. Use the freshest produce possible for best results.

Ingredients
  • 5 pounds (2.3 kg) green beans
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2tsp. each paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper

Instructions
  1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for several minutes. Dry beans.
  2. Melt coconut oil in microwave. Mix oil and seasonings in a bowl.
  3. Coast green beans in oil mixture.
  4. Place green beans onto dehydrator and dry for 8-10 hours at 125°F (52°C).
