Spinach Balls | Commercial Dehydrators

Spinach balls make a great snack or appetizer for a party with their vibrant green color and crunchy exterior. Cashews are used here and in other recipes as the base for the marinade. Nutmeg and spinach are naturally complementary flavors.

  • 3 cups cashews
  • 3 cups blanched spinach
  • 4 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated onion flakes
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions
  1. Process the cashews until they are finely ground. Add all the remaining ingredients and pulse several times until well combined and paste-like in consistency.
  2. Pour mixture into a bowl and form into small, bite-size balls.
  3. Place spinach balls on dehydrator sheets and dehydrate at 120°F (49°C) for 5 hours.
