If you are looking for a delicious jerky preparation but want a leaner protein, try this turkey jerky recipe. Be sure to trim any remaining fat from turkey prior to dehydrating.

  • 2 pounds (900g) skinless, boneless turkey
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp. red chili flakes

Instructions
  1. Freeze turkey prior to slicing. Cut into 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick strips.
  2. Combine all ingredients and dip turkey strips into mixture.
  3. Cover turkey strips and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Place turkey slices on dehydrator trays and dry at 155°F (68°C) for 8-10 hours.
