These ornaments are beautiful and precious. When I give them as gifts, the first question always is, "Oh wow! Where did you buy these?"

Ingredients
  • Materials:
  • Twine or thin ribbon (make sure the string is not so thin that it
  • tangles or breaks easily)
  • Needle with a large eyelet
  • Small round Styrofoam balls
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Dehydrated fruits, fruit peelings, herbs, and flowers of your choice
  • Can of fast-dry clear acrylic spray paint (high or low gloss)

  • Dehydrated fruits, fruit peelings, herbs, and flowers of your choice

Instructions
  1. Thread the needle with the twine or ribbon, then pull it through a Styrofoam ball to create a loop about 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter. Remove the needle, tie a good strong knot, and cut any extra string.
  2. Using a glue gun, glue dehydrated fruits, peelings, herbs, and/or flowers to each Styrofoam ball, making sure to cover the ball so no Styrofoam is showing. Then, hold the string and lightly spray the entire ball with acrylic spray. Hang and let air-dry for 24 hours before placing in a gift box.
