Dehydrated Pasta Carbonara | Commercial Dehydrators

Our Dehydrated Pasta Carbonara is the perfect comfort food while you are curled up in a blanket under the stars on your favorite camping trip. And because it’s easy to make and requires no electricity, it’s really the perfect camping meal. Just add water, let it sit for 15 minutes, then stir in some butter & cheese to make a hot meal that tastes just like your favorite pasta Carbonara home-cooked meal

Ingredients
  • 2 cups pasta (pre-cooked & dried pasta)
  • 2 oz. chicken (dried)
  • 1/4 cup peas (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Butter or oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley (dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions
  1. Pre-cook  the  pasta  and  steam  the  frozen  peas.
  2. Also, pre-cook your chicken.
  3. Set  dehydrator temperature to  160°F (71°C)  and dehydrate the chicken, pasta, and peas for 6 hours or until dry.  
  4. Combine  them  in  a  snack  bag.  Combine  the remaining  ingredients  in  a  separate  sizable  plastic bag or use a tightly sealed container for longevity.
TO REHYDRATE
  1. Add  about  4  cups  of  boiled  water  to  a  bowl.  Add  in  all the ingredients except the butter and cheese.  
  2. Ensure water is just above the meal in the bowl. If the water is much, drain off the excess. Allow the meal to sit for 15 minutes in a cozy to be well-rehydrated.
  3. When the water is absorbed, add the butter and cheese.
  4. Stir to combine and enjoy.
