Chia Banana Fruit Crackers | Commercial Dehydrators

This nutritious, protein packed cracker is the perfect snack for on the go or with a cup of tea or coffee. Use it as a base to hold sliced fruit, cheeses and dips, or feel free to enjoy it on its own!

Ingredients
  • 4 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
  1. Mix ingredients in a blender and pulse into smooth puree. Set aside mixture to settle for 20 minutes or until mixture starts to gel.
  2. Spread the mixture on parchment paper, about 1/8 (3 mm) thick.  
  3. Set in a dehydrator and dry at 145°F (63°C) for 6 hours, or until the mixture has a leathery consistency.
  4. Peel from parchment carefully and slice into cracker-sized pieces.
  5. Return pieces to the dehydrator and dry for another 6 hours, or until it becomes crispy.
